Multi-Element System of Ultra-Wideband Chaotic Communications

A system of ultra-wideband communications is considered, in which both transmitter and receiver are represented by multi-element devices composed of N UWB direct chaotic transceivers, operating in a collective mode. The structure of the radiation field of ultrawideband (UWB) chaotic transmitter ensemble is investigated analytically. Relations for the energy radiation pattern of an individual UWB transmitter and of an ensemble of UWB noncoherent transmitters are derived. Energy directivity pattern of UWB ensemble is shown to be a linear combination of energy radiation patterns of the ensemble elements. Collective information transmission with N ultra-wideband chaotic transmitters increases the signal power in the reception point by a factor of N. If the signal is received with a multi-element (N) receiver device, then the received signal power is increased by another factor of N. Thus, the overall effect of the communication system with N transceivers on the transmitting side and N transceivers at the receiving side allows an increase of the signal-to-noise ratio at the output of the multi- element receiver by a factor of N
