Determination of Occurrence Conditions for Periodically Non-Stationary Random Process with Establishing PSK-n Phase at the Output of the Linear Selective System

The problem of evaluation of the effective memory of the communication channel (the number of characters at a given symbolic transmission rate, whose influence is enough to take into account on the received character for its correct processing by the decision device), which is due to the intersymbol interference that occurs in the linear selective systems of a radio path, and leads to the emergence of periodically unsteady random process in the process of settling the slowly varying phase of PSK-n-signal at their output is considered in this article. Evaluation of the effective memory is made by means of numerical simulation of the communication channel, as well as by analytical estimates, obtained from the theory of majoring series. The dependences allow to estimate the effective memory for the most common linear selective systems depending on the PSK-n-signal transmission rate are presented. The basic properties of the periodically non-stationary random process are revealed.
