Investigation about Power Transfer Efficiency of Wireless Charger for Each Wire Rod

This report investigated about power transfer efficiency of the wireless charger for each wire rod by the experiment and the calculation. The copper litz wire and the copper-clad aluminum litz wire were considered as the wire rod. In the calculation of ac resistance for the sending and receiving coils, the conductivity of the copper-clad aluminum litz wire was set by the area ratio of copper and aluminum. As a result, the power transfer efficiency in the case of which the copper litz wire was employed was higher than that in the case of which the copper-clad litz wire was employed. However, the difference of the power transfer efficiency for both wire rod was small and only 1%. These results were obtained from both of the experiment and the calculation. In addition, high power charging was considered by only calculation. As a result, the difference of the power transfer efficiency for both wire rod was small and the power transfer efficiency for both wire rod was keeping over 90% even if in this case.
