A New Fixed Clustering Based Algorithm for Wireless Sensor Networks

In this article, we propose an Adaptive Energy- aware Fixed-clustering Based Data Dissemination Approach (AEFA) for WSNs. The main target of this work is to minimize and balance energy consumption among all nodes participating in these networks. This approach proposes a new way for selecting the initial cluster heads to build balanced size and evenly distributed clusters. Besides, a new way for circulating the cluster head job, depending on the energy and location information of the nodes in each cluster, is presented. The simulation results show the superiority of our approach over those directly connected works.
