Vibration and collision detection technique

The present paper addresses a novel approach in solution of the issues related with monitoring of impact and vibrations on the surface of sensitive equipment. The aim is to establish the presence of kinematic changes in the contours of a monitored object caused by the contact with another mass body as well as establishment of the magnitude and the mass of the influence. It is based on frequency domain analysis of acoustic sensor readings. Practical measurements verify the technique.
