The Development of Multi-pass GPR System Using Short Chirp Signal

In recent years, there are many accidents caused by roadway cave-ins where the roads were constructed in the past. So the GPR is used as a way to detect the underground cavities for preventing accidents in the future. In the past, when handheld GPR was used, it was necessary to block traffic temporarily to detect underground cavities. However, nowadays the vehicle towed GPR system is used in order not to obstruct the traffic. This paper is about our development of a new multi-pass vehicle GPR system using short chirp signal.
