Analysis of Thyristors Operation in Longitudinal Compensation Devices for Distribution Networks

The article presents analysis of steady state regimes of longitudinal compensation devices for distribution networks. The devices use thyristors for ac voltage regulation. It was shown that in steady state regimes there are different voltages applied to the thyristors depending on the levels of regulated voltages. The article describes different approaches for optimization of thyristors regimes of operation to provide more effective thyristors usage.
