One real-time visual measurement method of targeted bow bearing

The bow bearing of ship is an important parameter for the attack of tin fish as well as the basis of calculation in determining collision prevention line in maritime navigation. In visual recognition, my view angle can be determined by obtaining the bow bearing of targeted ship to greatly narrow the search scope in all-direction view feature library and improve recognition speed. However, the current bow bearing measurement method adopts continuous tracing and calculation and can't achieve real-time measurement. In order to solve real-time measurement, the paper first deduces the principle of visual measurement of bow bearing of targeted ship. Then, it raises the improvement method based on the correction of sky-line aiming at the incline of camera and verifies it through experiment. The results shows that the method is simple, easy to operate and highly real-time.
