Novel active filter selective control strategy using fourier linear combiners

This paper presents a novel active filter selective control strategy based on Fourier Linear Combiners. This strategy allows the selectivity of harmonic and sequences components of three-phase currents, which can reduce the harmonic filter power rating. The strategy proved to be reliable in the detection of harmonic components and their respective sequences, as well as in the construction of the compensation current. Applying this strategy in a three-phase network with high harmonic penetration, it is possible to observe several scenarios of selective compensation, designed according to the network structure and the search for a balance between power rating and power quality.
