Progress of G-band folded waveguide pulsed Traveling Wave Tube

As Terahertz technology developed, the research for G-band folded waveguide Traveling Wave Tube (FWTWT) require higher power and wider band. The design simulation and experiment on 0.22THz pulsed FWTWT was presented, including electronic-optical system, folded waveguide slow wave structure (FWSWS) and input/output windows system. By the measurement, the G-band pulsed FWTWT can reach over 10W output power with 5GHz -3dB bandwidth at 3% duty cycle. The maximum output power is about 16W in frequency 221.5GHz, the gain is 31.5dB.
