Smart management for steel-structure bridge industrialization construction

Industrialization construction is an important development direction of steel-structure bridges. In this paper, smart management for steel-structure bridge industrialization construction was investigated. According to the construction characteristics of steel-structure bridges, an implementation architecture was put forward. Then, corresponding key enabling technologies were discussed including the section division of bridge structure based on BIM (Building Information Modeling), bridge component identification based on two-dimension code and Internet of Things, collaborative construction chain for steel-structure bridge, management and control for steel-structure bridge construction. Finally, an engineering case was proposed to verify the feasibility of the proposed methods. It is intended to serve as a reference for the engineers while preparing the industrialization construction of steel-structure bridge and as a management throughout the life cycle of the bridge.
