Comparison of wireless routing protocols over FTP traffic in mobile and non mobile nodes

Network can comprise of mobile and non-mobile nodes. Packets are transmitted in the network from transmitter (source) to specific receiver (destination) using the neighbouring nodes. Three protocols which are used for routing are used to evaluate the performance: WRP, LAR and AODV by using factors such as packet delivery ratio (PDR), throughput and packet drop percentage (PDP). In non-mobile nodes the routes to the source from destination can be achieved without great efforts when compared to that of the mobile nodes, since the non-mobile nodes are stationary. But in case of mobile nodes, nodes tend to shift their position on timely basis with variant speed, this will lead to update the routing tables as and when the node traverse away from other nodes. The comparison between the both mobile and non-mobile is also made. The Performance has been evaluated by using network simulator tool GloMoSim (Global Mobile information systems Simulation).
