Design and performance of combine corn transplanter powered by hand tractor

Cultivation process consists of soil tillage, planting and fertilizer. These activities require a lot of energy if it's maked separately. The purpose of this research is to design and performance combine corn transplanter which can do cultivation process in single action. Type of starter fertilizer is NPK Soil tillage method applied is strip tillage. Testing of combine corn transplanter is performed by stationary test and field test. Performance of stationer test result showed that the combine corn transplanter could be metering 20.71 g/m NPK and 1-3 corn seed/hole, respectively. Performance of field test result showed that the combine corn transplanter could be metering 15.88 g/m NPK and 1-2 corn seed/hole, respectively. Mean corn seed spacing was 21.5 cm. Effective field capacity the combine corn transplanter was 0.147 ha/h (forward speed 0.83 m/s) and 0.350 ha/h (forward speed 1.25 m/s) and efficiency for respective speed was 76.24% and 83.78%.
