A 0.2–2.5GHz resistive feedback LNA with current reuse transconductance boosting technique in 0.18-µm CMOS

A 0.2-2.5 GHz active resistive negative feedback low noise amplifier (LNA), based on current-reuse transconductance boosting technique is designed in 0.18-μm CMOS technology. The LNA has the characteristics of high gain, low noise and reasonable power consumption. Meanwhile, the input resistance feedback technology is adopted to greatly increase the matching bandwidth of the input. Post-layout simulated results get a 3-dB bandwidth of 0.2-2.5 GHz and 19.2 dB power gain. Its input/output matching is less than -10 dB in the 0.1-4.5 GHz frequency range, and the input third-order intercept point (IIP3) is greater than -9 dBm. The LNA noise figure (NF) is 2.5-3.16 dB in the 0.2-2.5 GHz. The circuit consumes 24 mW DC power from a 3 V supply and the layout size is 980 μm × 530 μm.
