An analysis of MSF-OFDM based waveform design for MIMO imaging radar

Multiple input multiple output (MIMO) radars are considered to be superior to conventional radars in many aspects including imaging application. To obtain high resolution with low complexity and multifunction with flexibility, some waveform design issues for MIMO imaging radar based on modulated stepped frequency (MSF) and orthogonal frequency division multiplexing (OFDM) signals are analyzed in this paper. To take advantage of the diversity and degrees of freedom, waveform design approaches and considerations are presented and analyzed for relevant configurations.
