Protection circuitry and passive balancing for battery management systems part II

Battery management systems are of paramount importance to ensure safe functioning and optimal usage of the battery pack. This paper presents another key challenge in the design of such battery management systems, namely, battery balancing and continues where the part I of this paper stopped. A customizable passive balancing circuit design which can be customized to any battery pack of any voltage by following the design principles incorporated in this paper and can be validated via simulation is presented.
