Modeling and constrained predictive control for a carbon dioxide transcritical power cycle system

In this paper, a physical model in state-space form is established for CO
₂
transcritical power cycle systems. Constrained model predictive control algorithm is applied to control the waste heat recovery system. Simulation results show that the predictive control method have good performance for disturbance rejection and set-point tracking. In addition, the waste heat from the exhaust gas can be well utilized.
