Qualities of Hilbert Huang Transform in the Study of Spontaneous Pupillary Data

The objective of the study presented in this paper is to discuss the advantages and shortcomings of Hilbert Huang Transform (HHT) over traditional Fourier based methods (Fast Fourier Transform, FFT, and Discrete Wavelet Transform, DWT) in the analysis of Spontaneous Pupillary Fluctuation signals. An experimental example in a selected pupillary record from a healthy university student is given.
