A hybrid fast distributed maximum power point tracking technique in rapid mismatching condition

This paper presents a fast distributed maximum power point tracking (MPPT) to minimize the power loss during high transient mismatching occurrence of each PV solar module. The developed MPPT system employs a hybrid combination of direct and indirect method with integrated of soft-computation algorithm approach for maximum harvested energy of photovoltaic system. The MPPT algorithm supported by Particle Swarm Optimization (PSO)-tuned with proportional-integrator-derivative (PID) controller which used to track the MPP of the each PV module at approximately of 0.3ms with output efficiency of 99.96%. The assorted intended results show the stability and precision characteristics of maximum power point values and thus produce less MPP oscillation by minimizing the ripple magnitude. The tolerance of tracked MPP by the proposed algorithm is ± 0.1 for the same operating condition after rapid dynamic mismatch condition interrupt in between.
