Optimization model for planning water-energy modes of Novosibirsk hydro power plant

In this article developed mathematical model is proposed to solve the problem of planning water-energy modes of the Novosibirsk HPP (Hydro Power Plant) in accordance with a predetermined optimality criterion satisfying all constraints. One of the possible versions of the model is presented in this paper. The optimality criterion of the model is ensured minimum water discharge fluctuations in the tail water from the average level in the planning periods. Experimental study of the model has been carried out with 2016-2017 data and the task of ten-day period planning from April to July (only 12 ten-day periods) was solved. Based on the results of the study, the conclusion about application perspectiveness of the developed model for planning water-energy modes of the Novosibirsk HPP was made.
