Electrodynamics of vivaldi antenna arrays

Theoretical investigation of a two dimensional periodical Vivaldi antenna array is presented. The array model in form of a system of coupled slot lines with variable parameters is proposed. Integral equations that describe all array eigen modes: TE, TM, TEM are obtained and solved. Effects of blindness and depolarization are numerically studied. Analytical models of these effects are proposed. Analytical results are compared with results of a numerical simulation.
