Conceptualising the development of Green Energy in Taiwan: A driving force analysis

This paper provides an overview of the policy design of the current development of Green Energy in Taiwan and an analysis regarding the driving factors. After introducing the institutional process, with focuses on policy evolution and key projects, the paper conducts a driving force analysis from the elements of the actors, both public and private, and boundaries, which covers the natural, political, financial, and legal aspects. Finally, the paper characterises the Green Energy development in Taiwan twofold: resources demanding and the top-down facilitation and execution mode.
