Research on video motion compensation method based on the analysis of airborne video camera shaking mode of continuous video frames

In the inspection process of the helicopter, the airborne video camera will produce a slight or severe jitter inevitably. In order to obtain a stable, clear inspection video, video jitter needs to be compensated and estimation of the camera motion is key to motion compensation. In this paper, through the study of the motion law of continuous video frames, we found that there are three certain modes of capturing of the airborne video camera, including dynamic capturing mode along the aircraft line, static capturing mode in hover, and the switch capturing mode of the two modes. Meanwhile, there are three shaking mode accordingly, including dynamic shaking mode, static shaking mode and switch shaking mode. In this paper, a video motion compensation method is proposed by analysis of different shaking modes of airborne video camera in the light of continuous video frames. Experimental result showed the proposed method is comparable to Kalman filter and mean filter.
