Development of photovoltaic module tracking and web based data acquisition system

In this paper, the development of photovoltaic module tracking and web based data acquisition system for real-time monitoring of electrical parameter of photovoltaic module and the direct solar insolation has been proposed. The main objective of this paper is to evaluate the performance of proposed photovoltaic module of photovoltaic system by remotely collecting the onsite data during its standstill and tracking mode operation and also to obtain the solar insolation over a period of time. The collected data is continuously stored on the hard disk of user computer as MS Excel file for further analysis. The proposed system can be used to analyze the performance of different photovoltaic modules before selecting them as in an array of photovoltaic system.
