Design and implementation of mobile antenna VSAT with microstrip array based at Ku Band Frequency

Antenna microstrip array 2×16 elements have been successfully designed. This antenna is intended to be used for mobile VSAT communication application at Ku Band frequency. It works at a frequency of 12 GHz as a receiver antenna and 14 GHz as a transmitter antenna. The Antenna is designed on a grounded 1.6mm thick high relative permittivity FR-4 Epoxy dielectric substrate with average dimension 20mm × 5mm. The simulation result shows that the frequency of receiver antenna is 12 GHz with −10 dB bandwidth responses of 730 MHz and gain 18.69 dB, the frequency of transmitter antenna is 14 GHz with −10 dB bandwidth responses of 480 MHz and gain 17.91 dB.
