76–81GHz fully planar and array compatible LTCC antenna element for automotive radar sensors

Minimizing the dimension is one of the most challenging requirements for automotive radar sensor designs. Investigations for a very compact automotive radar antenna have been done based on TDK Low Loss LTCC. For the automotive radar band (76-81 GHz), an antenna element and a via transition have been simulated, manufactured and measured.
