Software defined architecture on demand: A resilient node approach

The Communication network infrastructure has thrived over a past few decades and will develop more rapidly in future. Hence, there will be a constant need for integration of more and more consumers, hardware and software mechanisms and other applications. To inculcate these integrations in the existing optical network infrastructure easily, a concept of Architecture on Demand was proposed and demonstrated. Moreover, to have effortless network administration a concept of Software Defined Networking is utilized. We propose to design and simulate a Software Defined Architecture on Demand node concept which will cater the advantages of both the above mentioned concepts. The Architecture on Demand node is designed in OptiSystem which is controlled using MATLAB. The results show considerable flexibility in the designed node.
