Fast Convergence Adaptive Beamformers With Reduced Signal Cancellation

A class of fast convergence adaptive beamformers is proposed using multichannel lattice and escalator structures with respect to Duvall beamformer. Because of the Gram Schmidt orthogonalization property of lattice and escalator structures, the proposed algorithms converge faster than their TDL (tapped delay line) counterpart. Also, signal cancellation is remarkably reduced. Computer simulation results are presented.
