Large scale AAO nano-fiber Substrate for SERS application

Large area of anodized aluminum oxide (AAO) nano-fiber substrates were fabricated by an extended wet etching process. The resultant gold-coated nano-fibers exhibit strong SERS signals that are far more superior to the metal film on nano-particles (MFON) substrates. This is by far the largest enhancement achieved in the class of period array substrate.
