Experimental analysis of photovoltaic system for continuity of supply using AVR microcontroller

In India as thousands of villages are located in remote area where electrification is tedious and expensive. Such villages can be electrified either by extending the grids of the existing power systems or by constructing isolated new power systems, with the help of renewable energy sources. Conventional methods face problems regarding its affordability. Renewable energy based power system is possible option for the electrification of these villages. This is challenge in front of researchers to regulate the output power to cope with load demand, as RES are whether dependent with varying daily and seasonal patterns. Combining the renewable energy generation with energy storage bank & ac power from substation will enable the power generated from a renewable energy sources to be more reliable, affordable and used more efficiently. If the normal source of power, most often the serving utility, if fails, emergency and standby power systems are designed to provide an alternate source of power. As reliability of these types of systems is critical and good design practices are essential. RES's based solar systems are a potentially significant solution to rural ac electricity needs for continuity of electrical supply.
