A square helical metamaterial for broadband circularly-polarized absorber applications

A metamaterial structure is proposed for using as a broadband circularly polarized absorber, which consists of four metallic square-shaped helices and each helix is opposite-handedness to the adjacent ones. Besides, the electromagnetic wave flows along the helical axes and the proposed structure blocks the circular polarization wave with the same handedness as the helices. The calculated results show that the proposed structure is broadband and independent to polarization.
