Reflectarray antenna for X-band applications

An X-band reflectarray antenna of center frequency 12 GHz for direct broadcast application is designed based on cylindrical dielectric resonator elements. The phase of the reflection coefficient of each element is adjusted by changing the radius of the dielectric resonator. The results of the designed reflectarray are compared with the corresponding results of a reflector antenna of the same aperture size. Good agreement between the designed reflectarray and the corresponding reflector antenna is obtained.
