Control Of Single-Electron Device Using Environmental Impedance Modulation

A single-electron device is one of the promising devices for future electronics. A so-called single-electron transistor (SET) is the most famous in the single-electron devices. The SET can be controlled by a gate electrode, which is capacitively coupled to the island. In this paper, we study the new control method for single-electron device (Z-SET), which utilize environmental impedance modulation without gate electrode coupled to the island.
