Multivariable control design for a boiler furnace

The robust linear quadratic Gaussian regulator design technique is applied to a model for a process boiler. The regulator design is used to balance the singular values of the plant plus integral controllers. The estimator design is used to recover the robustness properties of one node at another. The balancing of singular values tends to produce a decoupled response in the closed-loop system. Simulation results are presented and discussed.<
