CMMSPEED: Reliable real-time protocol for Industrial Mesh Network

Industrial Mesh Network is a self-reliant, robust Wireless Sensor Network deployed in various Industries. It is used for monitoring real-time phenomenon occurring at different units of a factory. MMSPEED protocol is designed for real -time based applications. It offers timeliness and reliability for data packets. It duplicates each packet and sends a copy of the packet along each selected path. These duplicate packets contribute to congestion leading to increase in dropped packets. Hence decreasing in the reliability. CMMSPEED eliminates the generation of duplicate packets and takes capacity i.e. available space in queue at nodes during data transfer to reduce number of dropped packets. Simulation result shows CMMSPEED have less number dropped packets and improved delay and Packet delivery ratio compared to MMSPEED.
