Challenges in global e-learning: What does the literature tell us

The growing emphasis on lifelong learning, the change to knowledge-based economies, and specialization within many professions has led to the demand for targeted education and training from a widely dispersed and diverse body of learners. The purpose of this literature review is to conduct a thorough review of the theoretical and empirical work that has been conducted on issues of culture and learning in global e-learning settings and published in the last 6 years.
