The Mpeg Audio Real-time Coding System

Recently, MPEG technology is becoming popular in multimedia world because of its encoding/decoding efficiency. In such demand, we developed a compact MPEG camera(1)(2) for consumer users to handle MPEG video and audio as easy as camcorder. The MPEG camera encodes/decodes image with using a newly developed MPEG-I CODEC LSI(2), and audio with software.
