The effective management of technology in mergers and acquisitions-a capabilities perspective

Starting from a capabilities perspective and drawing on case study research of acquisitions by leading UK companies, the paper identifies three approaches to the management of technology during the implementation stage of the merger and acquisition process. The strengths and weaknesses of each approach are evaluated.
