A new hot-line diagnostic method for XLPE power cables-AC superposition method

Several types of hot-line diagnostic methods for XLPE power cables are used in Japan. However, these methods have some problems. On this account, we have successfully developed a new hot-line diagnostic method, call "AC superposition method". In this paper, we introduce the fundamental characteristics of the new method.
