The Professional Activities Council for Engineers (PACE)

Technical societies provide a variety of ways for engineers to keep up their technical skills, including journals, conferences, and videotapes. However, an engineer's job and promotion prospects are increasingly enhanced or limited by his or her professional qualifications. PACE can help engineers at all phases of their careers. The functions of the PACE committees and some of their activities are described.
