Video production and technical education

Video in technical education ranges from recording live presentations to scripted lecture-demonstration and documentaries. Differences in approach and production values depend on the level of funding and anticipated revenues in light of the needs and expectations of the audience. Videos intended to motivate and persuade should use appropriate television techniques to get the audience's attention. For strictly informational programs, such as a technical presentation by an expert for a small audience, it may be sufficient to use minimal production values in recording a live presentation. In this case, the responsibility for the quality of the presentation would shift from the media producer to the presenter who develops the delivery and supporting graphics.
