Biomedical Signals In BANs: Pre-Channel Issues

This paper presents the problems that are inherent to biomedical signals. These problems might devastate the efforts for transmission optimization, as the signal is corrupted before entering the communication channel. A possible solution might be to include experts of different fields, in particular the end users, to make a comprehensive analysis of their needs and knowledge about the signal, and to pre-process the signal accordingly.
