Class scheduling and size as correlates of learning

West Virginia University has been giving departmental final examinations in three engineering mechanics courses for almost thirty years. This paper reviews results of 118 class sections since 1989. Two significant findings were made: (1) Classes meeting three times a week outperform those meeting twice a week. (2) There are significant long-term differences between instructors.
