Evolution of AMI technologies and enablement of Smart Grid

[Summary form only given]. The author has had hands-on experience, from the utility perspective, of deploying AMI solutions at two different utilities: Austin Energy and now CPS Energy. Mr. Hawkins will explore the contrast in technologies between the two waves of AMI technologies, and how the latest AMI technologies would enable DR and Smart Grid strategies at CPS Energy. Mr. Hawkins will also present some of the business impacts of implementing AMI and Smart Grid strategies.
