An experimental study on a decision support in less predictable situations

An experimental study is conducted to investigate how decision support information should be given to a human operator in less predictable situations. Suppose an operator, who is controlling a plant, can identify the current state of the plant without any ambiguity but cannot predict the future state precisely. One of the most significant tasks imposed on the operator is to monitor the plant and to take an appropriate control action when necessary. We will examine in this paper what kind of information should be given for supporting the operator's decision making under uncertainty.
