From desired reconstruction to hologram distribution in digital holography

Procedures to calculate the complex amplitude in digital holography are discussed. The determination of the complex amplitude in the hologram has been achieved for: 1-D input distributions along lines (e.g. straight arbitrary tilted lines and lines of elliptical shape); and 2-D distributions on an arbitrary oriented plane. The calculation of the complex amplitudes in case of a 1-D input distribution is given in form of an analytical expression as a phase distribution. In the case of a 2-D distribution the numerical procedure is based on the fast Fourier transform algorithm, a coordinate transformation in the hologram and the superposition of appropriate phase terms.<
