Noninvasive control of the Penn State total artificial heart: a computer simulation

A mathematical model of the Penn State Total Artificial Heart (TAH) coupled to the circulation has been developed, and a computer simulation which control the model in a manner similar to the current TAH control methods has been implemented. This model has been used to evaluate the controller's response to abrupt physiological changes.
