Direct non-destructive detection and identification of contraband using Raman microscopy

This paper is designed to bring to the notice of a wider audience the technique of Raman microscopy as a means for the accurate detection and identification of explosive materials in a non destructive fashion. The direction of the proposed programme of work is also described.
