In Terms of Testability on the Design of Fire Extinguishing and Explosion Suppression System of Armored Vehicles

In order to improve the testability of electrical system of the armored vehicles of the PLA, the author of this paper elaborates on the concept of DFT (design for test) in designing the fire extinguishing and explosion suppression system of armored vehicles, analyzes the structural characteristics of the system and the test strategies of DFT and puts forward two effective strategies on fault diagnosis and fault isolation of analog circuitry close-loop systems which are difficult to isolate, and provides efficient and brand-new detecting methods for monitoring system power supply by applying the theory on series of numbers. Featuring DSP as control kernel, the new system can be categorized into fire alarm checking module, fire extinguisher checking module, detonating driving module and CAN communication module in terms of test strategy and module function. The author also designs BIT circuitry for input/output of analog and on-off signals through hardware encirclement methodology and BIT circuitry for serial communication and for A/D, D/A conversion through hardware back-circling methodology. The experiment result shows that the overall performance of the newly-designed system has reached and even surpassed the level of its predecessors and the system's DFT can meet the requirements of fault detection and isolation.
