A Dual 6-Port with Diode Detectors

One of the advantages of a six-port network analyzer is that it uses simple RF detectors such as diodes, bolometers, or thermistors, to measure complex reflection coefficients. Most of the six-ports built at NBS have been built with thermistor detectors. The reason for this is largely due to the predictably "square-law" behavior of thermistors.
